Dan Kadlec and the Grippler will be having a 3 out of 5 right hand supermatch at the Brockville Ribfest. Both are very strong -- this will be fun to watch!

6 yrs experience vs 5 months experience. This is a lose-lose for the Grippler.
Dan will take hand. Ian will flop wrist to get straps. Ian will win in ugly fashion. And if Dan tries to power sideways through the flop wrist press, he possibly can injure elbow. As with 5 months of experience, his elbow ligament is not yet conditioned for such stress.

... Dan has a pro level hand. But lacks the technical ability and experience to beat an experienced puller like Ian.

Dan's hand will not dominate The Grippler.
I like Dan very much but he's out matched here. Grippler has more power and more hand as we will see.
Dan will learn from this and will be better for it. He may wish that he didn't rush into a match with someone with good years in the sport.
3-0 Grippler

I believe it was right around the time you just started too....there was a 30 page thread about it somewhere on here...what ever happened to that? Dan still has my vote...I ALWAYS go for the underdog...

George refused the challenge. He has made it clear that he won't do it so I've moved on to bigger guys.
I had about 4 years in the sport at that point I think.
Always have the underdog Bilal? Didn't you vote for Gould vs. me? Maybe I'm mistaken but I think you did. How are you healing up anyway? Will you be able to compete again this year?

Dan did not ask for this match according to Dan. It was suggested to him and he took the suggestion, against our advice. I do not like this matchup and have suggested openly against it. But Dans a big boy and we will train him accordingly. He stands nothing to lose while Ian stands to lose everything. As far as Dan rushing? I am curious as to why Ian would even take this match as he claims to have much bigger fish to fry???

This match was suggested by Devon because Ian was the next person ahead of Dan in the Ontario rankings. I was there when Ian first learned of the supermatch idea and I think he accepted it because he thought Dan was interested, and I don't think Ian is the type to turn down this type of challenge.

I didn't mean any offense Guy as to my comment about Dan rushing into this. I just think (as I've said to him) that if someone is still this early on in their "career" it's likely too early to take on a seasoned puller.
It's just my opinion Guy and I've shared it with Dan with respect in mind. I did not mean any discouragement and actually told him it may very well do him good in the long run.
Here's my overall take on "Supermatches". If you haven't competed in over 10 events, haven't even figured out a clean toproll or hooking mechanics then it's too early for you to put yourself on the big stage. This is not directed at Dan solely but many guys who want to just throw themselves into "Supermatches" to grab some of that glory. I'm not saying I'm right in thinking so but you'd be hard pressed to convince me otherwise. I think guys should learn a bit more, pay a bit more dues, compete in some tournaments first before trying for the big prize.
Dan has asked me my opinions on matters like this and I gave him some of my thoughts. I encouraged him as well. Hell, I like the guy, we invited him to our team BBQ.
He may just prove me to be a fool by winning everything he enters and improve at lightning speed. I just suggested he move slower as I feel its a safer route. Hell nobody knows the answers here, we all have to find our own way in the end.
Best of luck to both guys.

Dan is a worthy opponent I would like him to bring his a game as will I. I have as of recent had a suspect riser and am easily toprolled. Dan commits Top Roll my Riser needs work hopefully I can rise to the challeng. And I never said I have bigger fish to fry I just want topull anyone whos ahead of me just like Dan does the difference is I don't worry about the outcomes anymore and everymatch I pull is a learning experience for me as well. Dan and me will have a battle this will not be a blow out I will pull very hard I hope to bring him to a very deep dark corner where people ask them selves why do I do this again lol! And Dan is not like the rest of us like Bill Cameron this man will be primetime faster than many of us did. He is a genetic freak and I will be fortunate and honored to be this rising stars first supermatch. I hope remain undefeated against him.

The supermatch with Mike was different. You are both very experienced pullers. Mike was much heavier - a few weigh classes heavier. And he's a world champion. There are a few people I wold not put my money against, and Mike's one of them. You weren't really an underdog....you decided to pull someone much heavier than you. Not too sure why, but it was actually quite entertaining. You put on a good match-up - I'm impressed. Dan is a true underdog. He just as new as I am and brutally strong. Plus he's an awesome guy and I wish him the best. Not to give him a big head, but this guy will be world champion one day....I promise you.
