I was looking at the 242's in Canada, I beat Christian at Nationals in the first round. Just because u beat a guy early in a tournament does not automatically give u a higher ranking. He's progressed at a very high rate since, and had a very impressive performance at the last AM.

how about Jake Charles ranked in the 176? you asked him if he wanted to be ranked in the 198 and he answered "I don't think I will ever see 176 again" and the last tourney he weighed close to 198(golden horseshoe). Just a question, what happened to the top 30 pound for pound rankings? do they still exhist?

You're right then. It is my second place finish at Nationals that should do it.
There is few people who have a rank with one win (last win)on there belt and just get there ranking upgraded even though they have more losses to that person.

Jeff it's not that black & white and there is no iron clad pattern.

The pound for pound rankings were only briefly maintained. I found there was way too much speculation involved. However, it was fun exercise to undertake.

is there a way to post those rankings as what they where last time you did them (Eric)? I bet they would still be fairly close today to what they where.

You can see (some) older versions of webpages via www.archive.org and the "Way Back Machine". Type in www.inthehook.com/top_ontario_rankings.html , and click on "Take Me Back" . A calendar will indicate what older versions are available. None show up for 2011, but there are a few for 2008, 2009, and 2010. The oldest (using that particular URL) shows the (Ontario) rankings from Dec. 9, 2007.
