Our team has National Champions. We're allowed to talk because what we say has weight. I don't disrespect you. I just think you're narrow minded when it comes to this sport. It takes YEARS to become elite. You think you can do it by next year. Chris is an elite puller at his weight. And you self admit don't pull often on the table. What does Devon say his training consists of? The best in the WORLD? Twice a week table time... And he's been in this sport for 20 years. I also have a degree, and will be pursuing a Masters. Don't need to get into education at all on the board. Seriously, there will always be someone smarter than you, and someone always stronger. No point. Personally, I would shut my hole and be on the table weekly at a minimum. Hit tournaments, work my my wrists hard, and hope for the best in a year. 1st of all, just because you don't see me pull, doesn't mean I'm not pulling. Don't worry about me, I'm training very hard. I'm also doing wrist training twice a week and have started a power routine with kettlebells. I'm getting a very high paying office job next week, and I'm going to have a lot of times on my hands to train...I will be ready in due time. On a side note, your posts are well-composed and well-written. You might underestimate me, but you remain respectful. Pierre, on the other had, is not that intelligent and thinks he can talk shit to everyone. I have no beef with you. I wanna beat Chris Gobby, because people say I can't. I don't like when people tell me what I can or can't do. I don't like when people put limitations on what I can accomplish. I have faith in myself and I WILL beat Chris Gobby.

Bilal, the reason you called me out was because I was making fun of your "hard labour is the best training" stance. Don't you find it ironic that in your last statement you claim to look forward to a sit down office job, so you can have more time to focus on training??? (a rhetorical question. No need to answer)
The only thing I'm curious about is, what will drop first once I rip your arm to the pad. Will it be your jaw? Or will it be the soft-breaded stool onto your metro-sexual silk briefs?
When the match quickly goes south for you, just remember... Piano playing is great for finger strength development and you cannot go wrong with buying real estate adjacent to the Everglades.

That's what's going to drop, when your arm hits he pad.

So, what weight are the two of you going to meet at? Is there actually someone who would make this match even happen? Considering the promoter would have to basically ignore the fact that one of the competators has in no way earned a shot at a top ranked guy. I know one ego that got smashed by an elite puller this weekend, and he actually deserved the match.

Dave, I weight 160, Bilal 210. We talked about meeting at 187. In terms of promotion, Jerry has shown interest at having it at his event next July. Although rankings aren't at play here due to desperity in weight, it most likely will draw interest.
I have never, or will ever challenge a puller with considerable less experience then myself. Bilal was the one to challenge me.

One can say Bilal hasn't "earned" the right to challenge a "higher level" puller. But I think that's bullsh*t. If 2 guys wanna go and they agree on terms, who's to say if it should happen or not. Bilal is a big boy, he knows the risk and despite his confidence, if he loses he ll bounce back just fine. This sport is not large enough to self regulate standards on match up etiquette.
#1 ranked guy vs #2 ranked guy pulling for pride & ranking. Or.. 2 novice 140lbs pullers pulling for 2000$? In terms of spectating interest give me the twigs. $$ + contempt = intensity. Equals a great show.

It was his idea to meet at 187. I don't really care if he stays at 210. I don't see myself bulking up that much. It's very hard and not that healthy. I ll most likely be 160 ish. I feel my best and have had my best days at that weight.

I hope bilal knows what he is getting into gunning for the big dogs this early. I respect chris alot and should have headed his warnings about trying to climb the ranks so quickly and look where it got me. a one way ticket to a broken arm and a m in of 12 month setback. bilal it takes a long time for your bones to match your muscle strength. when one surpasses the other too quickly breaks happen. i suggest if you are so bent on pulling chris be very prepared to watch your arm break, because with out the table time you WILL not be prepared for the positions you may find yourself in.. Good luck to you and heres hoping you don't have to learn lessons the hard way.

I know one ego that got smashed by an elite puller this weekend, and he actually deserved the match. It has nothing to do with ego. It has everything to do with respect. Chris has been taunting me and talking shit to me ever since I came into this sport. I've had enough of it. I told him, straight up in front of everyone, that if I trained hard for a year, which I will, I believe I will beat him or at least give him a good match.

I've had a dislocated disc, a torn left pec, partially dislocated left shoulder, broken nose three times, broken 1st and 2nd knuckle, etc....I have competed in wrestling, powerlifting and fought in the ring for 12 yrs. I am not trying to compare these sports to arm wrestling. I understand that they have nothing to do with each other. I am merely saying that I understand and accept the risk involved and I willingly will wage a war, till my arms fall off, to get my respect. I understand that I haven't earned anyone's respect yet. I know I'm very green. I know I have a long way to go, but I can't stand around while someone keeps taunting me... Prescott 2013 is my year....
