How did everyone find the “don’t move – go” starts in Woodstock? Did they reduce the number of fast starts? Were fast starts easier to catch? Did the change in command lead to more fair starts?

Yes -- everyone please share you opinions. This year we're looking to see what people think of the possible change. If enough people like it, we may push this to become an official rule change. So if you don't like it, please speak up.

i think don't move--go is better because it prevents early starts which is more fair, makes it easier for the referees, and may eventually reduce the tournament time because of fewer early starts. people may not like it right now because they are not used to it but i think its better.

yes Bill i think your right i did see alot more early starts then the ready-go .........i found it hard at first to figure out when to unleash the speed but a few tournies would tell the tail if i truely like the new start or not i personaly dont feel 1 tournament is enough to fairly judge the new start !!! I know I wasn't there, as much a I would have liked too,but work first. Guy says. he didn't notice and I guess it is a good thing. With my experience back in the day it worked very well and it gave the refs better control of the start. It stops the jumps on the go and it makes for a more fare start. As I remember in the rules, unless they have changed, you are supposed to wait for the go before you start and there was to be no movement, not load so much that you pull your apponent across the table and go on the ready. I have watched many matches this past year and there are many jump starts and wins before the go is even said. In my oppinion it makes the match more fare. People will just hve to learn to hit the Go. I know this will effect certain pullers and they will just have to adjust.

More called false starts is a GOOD thing. It will slow the early hitters down. I wasn't there but support ANYTHING that makes the starts more fair and takes the huge advantage away from early hitters.

i think it will be good thing aswell as long as it stays dont move........ go but i already noticed some of the refs speeding it up a little bit who is to no how long the pause should be and that is where it is going to get messed up i had like 5 early starts and im not one to jump and this is because one ref was faster then the other this is why i like the ready go better.

Just think of the early starts they didn't call Bill......like when you beat me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your almost as bad as Windover!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D punks!!!!! This slowed the tournament down quite a bit for sure. I don't think it made much of a difference otherwise. Quick hitters like Bill, Buff, Aslan still kicked butt with speed. More work for the refs as well. Everybody spent more time at the table, which was only a good thing when observing the round robin ladies........thank you

not real sure about the new start i know that it didnt slow any body down there definatly was alot more early starts i know that if we continue like this i need to change the way i set up wich is ok to just let us know what it will be and we will have to work on it .
i did notice from right arm to left arm i was already getting used to it so im sure we can work with what ever way you guys decide to go

It seems like the faster the puller is the more they hate the new start, so you know I'm all for it!
