The Ottawa High Hooker Armwrestling Club Charter
Vision Statement
Our clubs originators who organized the now well known “Ottawa High Hookers”
In and around the year 2003, set a plan in motion. That plan was simple to create and develop the worlds most dedicated and technically sound armwrestling club ever assembled. In the early years the club had a modest amount of members stretching across the city of Ottawa. Today there are more than 20 actively training armwrestlers who call themselves a High Hooker. And many of these members travel from distances as far as 160km. In just a short period of time the club has developed many Ontario Provincial champions, and some National champions. These champions have represented Canada at the world championships and other prestigious professional armwrestling events. The club is also well know by the efforts and successes of its premier armwrestler who as of the year 2011 holds the title of the worlds number 1 ranked armwrestler. Devon Larratt.
As a member Of the Ottawa High hookers you will be expected to set an example at all times, in all the armwrestling endeavours that you may participate in. You will be expected to represent the virtues in smartness, discipline, armwrestling intelligence and general conduct, but particularly in courage, tenacity in moments of hardship and adversity.
A member of the club describes the club as follows:
“In many ways the Ottawa High Hookers are like a pack of wolves each member of the pack following their leader learning from his examples. W hen an enemy or adversary poses a threat or challenge the leader attacks with precision and courage demonstrating the valour and strength that the pack has. This is a characteristic shared by many of the members of the wolf pack known as the Ottawa High Hookers, but none more evident then the packs leader Devon “No Limits” Larratt”.

The Ottawa High Hookers Armwrestling club is rooted in the hearts of its members. It is composed of dedicated active and formerly active armwrestlers. The club has an extended family of pullers who by geographical restrictions cannot attended regular practices but follow, implement and execute the teachings and philosophies of the club.
Role
To Train and maintain armwrestling readiness and mental wellness for representation of Club and Country.
Goals
To contribute to the betterment of the club and its individual members.
To maintain and improve on overall physical and mental well being.
To foster the code of conduct expected as a fellow High hooker.
To assist your fellow High Hooker in times of need or loss.
To maintain a high and positive public profile of the Ottawa High Hookers.
