For those who are interested in this sort of thing: The results from past OAA events are now divided by year on the OAA site: www.ontarioarmwrestling.com/results.htmI've been doing some digging and have now posted results for most tournaments dating back to January 2006. Over the next few days I'll be posting tournament results dating back to 1997. I only have results from some of the events, but I'll be posting whatever I have.

No mortgage, but, that tournament and the Easterns, that was also huge, went a long way towards sending me to Worlds in Kelowna.

Tournament results from 1997 through 2001 have now been posted.
If anyone has results from any OAA tournaments from 1992 through 2007 that are not on the site, I would love to have them.
If anyone has kept OAA newsletters from any of these years that contain unposted results, please let me know!

Eric,
I believe I have a significant number of items that you are looking for..... -Past OAA Newsletters. -Past OAA tournament results. -Various armwrestling information, data, promotional material, tournament histories and a multitude of other miscellaneous items dating back to 1986. I'll start putting it all together and contact you once it's all ready to arrange delivery.
Also, my video catalogue of some 35 events (Local, National & International) has been converted to digital format by Scott MacInnis and he is in the process of uploading ALL of them on to the Armsport Videos site. I would like to formally recognize Scott's efforts here and publicly thank him for undertaking this considerable task.
Best Regards Mr.President,
Mike Haigh

The inaugural Arm Melter -- what a fun time!
The three man tag team challenge was just a points competition for teams of three. The event suited Team Ottawa perfectly, with Ivan in the light weight, me in the middle weight, and Devon in the heavy weight classes.
The prizes for that event were fun as well - DVD players, tool kits, etc.
Joe had like a two minute left hand match that day with Devon. (Devon had injured himself just a few days before and could not apply side pressure.)

Joe and I held our first tournaments in November 2004. I held The Battle in the Capital and he held the Arm Melter.
