It's AWESOME!!
Ontario is a very healthy region for AW right now. Guys and gals are looking great at all levels. The pro's are still kicking ass and the newer pullers are improving at a great rate.
Just some names I'd like to throw out there that I've been very impressed with lately:
Guy Windover Joel Goodsell Phil Tanner Andrew Scott Jacob Charles Janet Reihle James and Steve Roy (Mike the Destroyer's children) Action Jackson Tyler Robinson Eric The Fire
Really, there are so many to list. Great work everyone, your training is paying off. Thanks to the promoters for keeping it real here in Ontario with regular tournaments. The world better watch out, not only do we have high level pro's but we're producing them and grooming them here as well.
Edit: I know not every AW I've listed is from ON but we all pull here and we're helping each other get to the next level.

I completely agree with everything that John wrote! Ontario has, is, and with ongoing support will continue to be a hotbed for armwrestling. No other province or state has as many tournaments with such big turnouts. We also have more ranked pullers than any other province or state. As Devon says, if you can do well in Ontario, you can do well anywhere.
I look forward to what will almost certainly be the biggest Provincial and National Championships on record, where we’ll be able to show the rest of Canada the number and quality of pullers we have!

If u wanna compete between in 7-10 high quality events per year (all with in driving distance) you wanna reside in Ontario or border it. It is BY FAR the best and most active aw state/province in the world. The main promotors within (mark, mike, Joe, Rick and Eric) are all dedicated to the sport and are all evolving towards growth. Mike has the biggest event in Canada year after year, look at what Mark Z is doing with sponsership with the womens round robin, Eric will indeed run the most popular and biggest nationals ever!... And Joe is spear heading a league in the heart of Ontario with the ArmMelter series. I was asked last year by a fellow Quebecor why I favor Ontario events over local Quebec ones? My answer was, not only are the events large and very competive, but the atmosphere is ALWAYS great and I always have fun seeing the same faces. I also added that 4-5 of the top 15 refs in the world reside in Ontario. And I ve always beleived that competeing in events with master refs will prepare you very well for nats and worlds. I was so impressed by the trophies given out at one of the Ontario provincials that I attempted tryin to get a Ontario drivers liscence in order to be able to compete! . No joke. In summary... If ur an aw'er living in Ontario, LIFE IS GOOD!!

As a new guy coming into this sport, I am very excited to be doing so in an area as rich in knowledge and talent as Ontario is. That little quote from Devon is quite inspiring.
