This has been debated a bit before, but I was wondering what everyone thought about this topic.

The kids can be difficult. At an early age the wieght brackets work quite well but as they get a little older you have to go with age because a 13yr old is much stronger than a 10 year old but can shere the same wieght.

Good point Mike. When their hormones start changing- that makes a big difference. Maybe by age- or weight- until 12 yrs. Then 13-14 yr age group class subdivided into two weight classes, 15-16 yr age group class subdivided into two weight classes. That's a lot of messing around though, and it would work only if you have a lot of kids...
