Supers Earl, Dan K, Sylvain. rh. Alot of upsets due to battles!!! Eric has full results so dont want to specualte but was a great show!!!! 98's Brian, Allen, Action Jackson 54's rh Aslan, Gobby Joel Not sure about the rest Jacob Charles got a first RH 76 ams and a second left. Kadlec did awesome but truth be told Sylvain was ripe for the picking at that point, LOL, he had war after war all day. Kudos to Mr Perron he definitely took the hard road yesterday when I beleive he could have easily took to firsts in the 220's!!!!

A big thank you to Mike the Destroyer for organizing this event! We are lucky to have big pro/am events in Ontario such as this one and of course the Mike Gould Classic. Thank you to all who came out to support it. I know the SuperShow organizers and attendees were very happy with the armwrestling and Mike's grip strength displays. I know first hand that these types of events are expensive to put on. I sincerely hope this tournament will be able to happen again next year. The first-time armwrestler I was most impressed with yesterday was Tom Balfe. He obviously didn't have much technique, but it was also obvious that he had tremendous arm strength. His build reminded me of Devon's. Hopefully we'll see him again. This kids classes were fun to watch. Liam Carnegie and James Roy battled back and forth. James ended up taking first in the right and second in the left, and Liam took first in the left and second in the right. Christian Gould and Steve Roy also split the boys 14 year old class. Other Observations: - Chris Gobby had a great day, with two left hand wins over Aslan Albegov.
- Joel Goodsell continues to have consistently good performances, taking two third places.
- Crazy George once again made it look pretty easy, taking yet another 1st place. Shea Dickie looked impressive once again.
- Brian Tamblyn looked great in the 198 class, winning both arms. All of his matches were over quickly.
- Anatoly Skodtaev didn't feel like cutting weight for this event. His results were still very good, taking first in the right and second in the left 220s.
- Sylvain Perron was the lightest I've seen him in over 10 years. However, he was still able to get an impressive left handed win over Earl Wilson early on in the event. However, pulling four classes proved to be a bit too much for Sylvain yesterday. I expect we'll see a different Sylvain at Nationals.
- Earl won both supers classes, adding to his astonishing résumé.
We were able to finish all of the pro classes on the big stage -- a great way to finish the day! Done on time, too!

Another interesting story from the event: one participant (claimed to have) won $300 in armwrestling bar bets a couple of weeks ago (against much bigger guys). His friends suggested he enter this event. Probably being too proud to enter the amateur, he entered a pro class and got SMOKED! :-) He ended up on the practice table on and off for almost two hours.
I'm sure he'll be back for more - but at a more competitive class for him.
