What a great Provincials! Record attendance, great prizes, and awesome pulling!
To be honest I missed many matches because I was running around a lot of the time, but some of my favourites were:
The first right hand match between Joel Goodsell and Joey Costello. This was a long centre of the table hook match. In the end, Joey used his experience and was able to find a way to roll out and pin Joel. It was a nice display of technique.
My second left hand match with Kade Revelstoke. He pressed me down hard to about a millimeter from the pad but I was able to hold him off just long enough for his energy to begin to drain. I haven't had that type of match in a while.
Nicola Gazzetto's right hand match with Brian Tamblyn. This was a crazy hook match that went back and forth. Nicola came out the winner -- a HUGE win for him.
I was very proud of my team's performance. Many members had great success.
A BIG thank you to Joe, Becky, and their team for a great event. There were a lot of nice touches, like the cake and the drinks named after some of the teams.
I'm happy to see that Ontario will have a very strong team at the National Championships.
