For sure, there will be a Gobby on the podium in the 154 or 165 classes.

Predictions for grip challenge is tough to say. However for the poker tournament I have The Welsh Hammer winning it. I ve only played with him once, but he won. He plays select hands and bets aggressively.

If Troy Eaton pulls 187 he is the only guy that can give The Hitman troubles. Al will win another National title. Troy 2nd place.
Monfils and Roussin will be on the podium for 220's right and left.
This is the year of The Grippler!! He will not be denied!!!
I'll likely get smashed and drop in rank, in turn making most of Ontario happier.

One thing is for sure. Any national title won at this event will certainly need to be earned, as there will be no easy classes. (Possible exception - the 121 lb class

Active pullers? I would say the top four left handed pullers who would potentially pull this class would be Brian Tamblyn, Heintje Bergeron, Ralphie Bayers, and Lee Saitz. Not necessarily in this order.

The 165s will be an interesting class. I'm curious to see how many guys who usually pull in the 154s will pull this class. I'd say Dan Gallo and Mike Barrett are two of the favourites, but I don't know if they are coming.
Regarding my 187 list, I just listed who I think may be the top 4 at that weight. I don't know who will be pulling that class in Ottawa.

165- Barrett not coming. Gallo is 195 trying to get down to 87's or 76's. Dan B, Ivan C will b the big threats in 165.

Chris,
Where did Brad Wade go?
Hope he wasnt a flash in the pan. This guy impressed me when I seen him at a Melter a few years back. I believe he won a MGC once also. Any way hope you do well Chris.
