If the ultimate goal is to seek (non aw ing) viewers and t.v rights, it's NOT about right or wrong or maintaining the integrity of the sport. It's about business. Look at Neil Pickup and armwars, he has reached out and maintained more t.v viewers and live spectators than any other promoter ever... And his philosophy on rules is parallel to the MLA's. Keep up the good work Ian. If the sport ever explodes to the mainstream audience, it won't be due to small armed, finger climbing top rollers. Who asked you anyway!!! My arms are not small, just stretched out over a longer distance. And after our last match you will here on refer to me as "My DADDY". That is all......

well that is possibly the best example of a situation where you would benefit from shorter arms

well that is possibly the best example of a situation where you would benefit from shorter arms lol. also, isnt it true that a shorter arm is an advantage for a hooker? shorter moment arm --> higher force for the same moment resistance M = F x d

Lol. Nice one Guy. But I've challenged u for $$ b4 and u ran away. On the aw table (whenever I don't pull 5 classes w 1 arm) you ll always be my bitch.
Fayez... It's not about length as it is proportion. A hooker in theory would want a long humorous (upper arm) with a shorter (in relation to humerous) forearm.

yes Gobby it is mainly the length of the forearm not the total length of the arm. I meant the shorter arm length assuming same proportions i.e. shorter forearm. if u assume the main support in resisting the applied moment is your elbow joint and tendons and muscles attached at the joint then the shorter the forearm the larger is the force u can apply. Force = Moment resistance divided by the moment arm: Force = Moment / (perpendicular distance). ofcourse the maximum moment resistance is your physical capacity which is a constant. The stronger one gets with hard training the larger is the maximum moment capacity he/she can resist. Would the length of the biceps help in a hook? iam not sure.

Fayez the length of the head is not so important. It is the strength and location of the insertion point of the tendon. Generally speaking the shorter bicept head will be more compact, have a stronger attachment (insertion point)and will react better to resistance training. This can be detected by flexing the bicept and observing the gap between insertion pt of tendon (into elbow) and end of bicept (low end).
I've only seen one exception in this sport of a very long bicept head that attaches extremely low on joint, and that is Devon. This is one of the main reasons why he has one of the best def hook locks in the world. Which is something you will almost never see from a very long limbed aw er.

This is yet another fine example of why aw strength (genetic predisposition) is strength you can't see. And why Jake Charles can be a world class hooker and Bilal despite his well developed muscle mass might not be. (don't mean to insult, but he is a perfect example).

Who plan's on pulling the round robin? Ryan , who wil beat you with these rules as opposed to not, with regular rules? Or anybody else? Let's hear a senario?? I think this needs to be put to the test. We can all talk about it over a beer afterwards, or yell, whatever works for you Regular tournament will be a blast and there is alot of awesome prizes and money to be won!
