Updated: Wed Nov. 30 2011 2:58:52 PM ctvmontreal.ca When it comes to sports that rely on pure brawn arm wrestling is as simple as it gets. Brothers Steve and James Roy from St. Jean sur Richelieu are masters of the sport, and they're turning heads -- and wrists -- at the national level. 15-year-old Steve and his 12-year-old brother James know what it takes to be the best. "Training, training. I like training," said James. It's pretty easy, since the family has transformed one room into a training centre complete with weight bench, a ladder attached to the ceiling, and a rowing bar. Steve came second at the Nationals this year. "That was a surprise for me. I was sure I was not going to be in the top three but I am happy about the result," said Steve. Not to be outdone, James finished first for his age group. For the boys arm wrestling is a family affair. Their dad Mike is a former competitor and now their coach. He says they're not just talented, but incredibly determined. "They're always after me. They're like 'come on let's go train or let's go arm wrestle,'" said an obviously proud father "What more can I ask for." These guys eat, sleep and breathe their sport wherever they happen to be. After all .It's not as if they have a lot of gear to lug around. "In school when we get time, we take a desk and start arm wrestling for fun and at the arena before the game we take over the trash can and start arm wrestling," said Steve.
