After maintaining rankings for six years, I've decided to step down as the In the Hook Rankings guy. I have way less time to devote to rankings than I did in 2005, and in order to continue my other armwrestling stuff -- training, developing my new armwrestling history site (www.armwrestlinghistorychannel.com), overseeing general OAA matters -- something had to give.
I think rankings add to the sport more than they take away, so I'm hoping they will continue to be maintained by someone else. If you're interested in taking on the rankings duties for Ontario and/or Canada, please let me know. You would be able to maintain the rankings as you see fit, either by continuing on with my basic system (which I can explain in further detail), or by using your own system. (Of course, this would be pending John and Jerry's approval.)
If you have any questions, please let me know.

I would gladly do it Eric. I follow all results, I'm intelligent, un bias and the fact that I'm bilingual can help with explain myself to the French folk. I would also remove myself from rankings as it can look to be a conflict of interest.

Sounds good Chris but you should definitely NOT remove yourself from the rankings! We'll talk more.

Thanks guys. There will be a few changes but nothing dramatic. My philosophy & structure on rankings are very simular to Eric's. When structuring who should be ranked over another, the following variables will be taken into consideration.... The draw, injuries, was puller competing in his "ranked" weight class?, the event (as $$ events will hold more weight as it is presumed pullers are peaked), and if it is too close between 2 pullers, the edge will be given to the more travelled/active puller. And of course much like Eric... If a ranked puller has not competed in a full 12 months, he will be removed.
I expect that there will be much opposition on certain decisions. I welcome all feedback and if a decision was made based on mis information, the change will be made. Certain decisions will be based on my personal judgement, however you can all be certain it will be 100% objective and non bias. Updated will be made within 1-2 weeks.

And please, I encourage questions. I will try my best to explain in detail any decisions made.
