It looks like the Toronto SuperShow tournament, as it was designed last year, is unlikely to occur again this year. Michel Roy is working on an even bigger event in his hometown for 2013. However, there is an opportunity to have an armwrestling event of some kind at the SuperShow, which is on June 2nd. I’d like to know what level of interest there would be if there was a Quebec Enduro type event in its place: - One open right hand weight class
- Quadruple or quintuple elimination
- In each round, pullers are matched up with other pullers who are closest in weight, who have the same number of losses
- Cash prizes for the top 20 (approx $500 for 1st, $100 for 10th, and $50 for 20th)
- You cannot pull the same puller more than twice
- $50 entry fee
I think the Quebec Enduro held in September 2010 in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu was enjoyed by those who attended. Who would likely attend and compete in this event if it was held at this year’s SuperShow?

I'd love this. I ended up missing the previous Enduro, so I would love to be a part of this type of event!

The Quebec "Enduro" Open was a quintuple elimination event, meaning you kept pulling until you lost five times. Since most tournaments are double elimination (two losses), endurance really came into play.

It's interesting to realize that 5 of the top 10 finishers weighed under 175. Many 220+ pullers finished out of the $$. Which proves that in this format, endurance & strength are far more important than excellent strength with mediocre endurance.
