OAA Booth at the Toronto Pro SuperShow

The OAA will have its own booth at the Toronto Pro SuperShow (June 2nd and 3rd), in addition to the space for the actual tournament. The booth will be used to promote our sport, and I envision having a couple of tables where expo visitors could try out armwrestling under the guidance of experienced pullers. I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in manning the booth on Saturday and/or Sunday. I will be running the tournament all day Saturday and I won’t be around Sunday. I’m hoping some of you will be able to help the OAA capitalize on this opportunity, as I think our involvement in this fitness expo provides great exposure. Would any Toronto area clubs be interested?

Does anyone have any ideas of what else we could do with the booth?

I will be bringing three tables to the SuperShow for the tournament, but we’ll need a few extra tables for the booth. I’m also looking for one or two volunteers who would be able to help with registrations on the Saturday morning. If you’d like to volunteer a table or a couple hours of your time, please let me know. It would be very appreciated.

Not sure what my schedule is like yet for that tournament, but know that I am willing to help out (eventhough I'm not an OAA guy. I'm sure that doesn't really matter anyway!!).

But ya, I was practcing a bunch last year and met some awesome people at the tables. Had a great time.

Hi Eric when I did the toronto pro show in 2004-05 and 06, I think those were the years, I gave away OAA and CAWF memberships for $10, this paved thier way to Nationals and let them be an OAA member for free.
I moved the tables out into the isles and made them more accessible to people passing by.
I also arranged demo challenge matches with the booths near by, and let them win all the matches, every one benifited by letting other booths pull and win. I had lots of prises to give away.

One more thing, I got alot of the prises from the other booths, I asked them for free stuff so I could give thier product away as prises in the isles.
They all thought this was a good idea and again everyone was more than happy to let me put the tables in the isles.

I think armwrestling and the Super Show is a good fit and will benefit us all.
