With less than three weeks to go, does anyone have any predictions for the Mike Gould Classic? Here are my predictions for the pro classes, based on who I think will show up (and the classes I think they’ll pull):
154 Right
1st – Aslan Albegov 2nd – Matt Wiggins 3rd – Maksim Khodau
154 Left
1st – Aslan Albegov 2nd – Joel Goodsell 3rd – Chris Gobby
187 Right
1st – George Iszakouits 2nd – Brian Tamblyn 3rd – Allen Ford
187 Left
1st – Heintje Bergeron 2nd – Brian Tamblyn 3rd – Shea Dickie
220 Right
1st – Eric Roussin 2nd – Anatoly Skodtaev 3rd – John Milne
220 Left
1st – Eric Roussin 2nd – Anatoly Skodtaev 3rd – Jeff Slater
221+ Right
1st – Richard Lupkes 2nd – Travis Bagent 3rd – Earl Wilson
221+ Left
1st – Travis Bagent 2nd – Earl Wilson 3rd – Rick Heidebrecht
Women’s Right 0-143 lbs
1st – Barb Schlegel 2nd – Laura Cook 3rd – Tamara Mitts
Women’s Right 144+ lbs
1st – Barb Schlegel 2nd – Chantal Leduc 3rd – Janet Riehle
I can’t offer predictions for the amateur classes, because there are a number of guys that I’m not sure if they’ll be pulling in the amateur or pro division.
Anyone else want to share their predictions?

I like the predictions. Are you making the trip Will. I think I think Brian might have something to say about that top spot and i havnt heard what George is doing. The 220s that will be a class, If John gets in there, Ryan Clark , Mike Bowling and Kade will mix it up as well. The heavies will be great. This could easily be Earls tourny. Just depends on the match ups but Earl and Richard i think will be a great match up. Travis generaly stays pretty fresh, its a quick win or a quick loss. Should be a great event.

Eric,I think I agree with these predictions but what is your guess for 4th, 5th for right and left 187? What about gazzetto? he's strong left and right, he was stronger last time I pulled him than he was at supershow, I think the right hand could get mixed up depending on the lineup, 187 that is

In the right 187s, I think positions 4 and 5 will be taken by two of the following pullers: Dan Bellefeuille, Denis Dubreuil, Shea Dickie, Nicola Gazzetto.
In the left 187s, I think positions 4 and 5 will be taken by Dan Bellefeuille and Denis Dubreuil. Nicola's left arm is hurt and I don't think he'll be pulling with it at the MGC.

I also predict that in the days following the event one or more pullers will take some heat for pulling in the amateur division. A discussion regarding what consititutes "amateur" will then ensue.

Hmmm, whenever the Mike Gould Classic and "Crazy" get mentioned together, it's usually about George. I noticed he didn't pull in the Arnold Classic this year due to injury. I hope this won't be George's retirement.

Yes, true George WAS injured but he has been coming to practice again, I think he can still beat everyone unless anthony dalantonia shows again, I think after I crushed Dante when everyone had predicted them to place 1st, 2nd scared him off. I was hoping George had retired, just for the fact of #1 ranking up for grabs but I think he's here to stay, He just does not get weaker as he ages.

Thanks Eric, that's some good info, I still feel that in the right 187 there are 5 pullers on a fairly even keel, these will be some intense F-ing matches to say the least.

I think the right 187 class will be the toughest class this year, but the 220 class just got more interesting now that it sounds like Ryan Clark, Doug Allen, and Mike Bowling may be making the trek.

In the 154 dont forget Mike Roy and rejet allain, they will be hard to beat. I think Mike could stand in the top 3 in the left, and rej could win the right hand to.

I'm surprised not more people are willing to post their picks. Mr. Gobby - you must have an opinion on who you think will win?
