I nominate Manjin for all awards. Can I get a second? ?? ...... hello?? anyone? Well that would be the obvious choice John but I've always believed in sharing the "wealth" with my fellow armwrestlers.Actually, I was thinking about it, and I feel really bad for Devon as he really has no shot at winning "most improved" award. Must suck to be him. ..........

I’d like to put forward a few more names for consideration for the Promoter of the Year award. Although these individuals may not put on as many tournaments as some of the other nominees, I feel they have been doing a great job promoting armwrestling.
Guy Windover – Guy, as well as many of his teammates, can be found at almost every OAA tournament. He has done a great job building up the Buckhorn Arms – a team that is now poised to take the Team of the Year title. He always seems willing to help out, be it by refereeing on short (no) notice, supplying the finest armwrestling tables on the market, and sponsoring a variety of special awards. Plus, the Central Ontario Championship he’s run for the past three years is one of the major tournaments of the year, and he spares no expense to ensure it is always a high quality event.
Ian Carnegie – This year the Grippler has been very busy developing his new organization – Major League Armwrestling. He has invested a lot of his money in state of the art technology to increase the production value of his videos, and in my opinion it’s working. He has attended a number of events this year (including the Arnolds) and filmed a lot of the action. He’s been in talks with charitable organizations to run special events. Ian has also successful at bringing new pullers into or back into the sport. Steve Murray and John Kuehl are just a couple of them.
Jerry Milne – The live streaming of events is always a great addition. It really helps promote the events – just look at the chatter surrounding the Mike Gould Classic on the message boards and Facebook: a lot of people want to attend next year now that they see how much fun it is. Jerry is also moving into tournament promoting, with his first event being held in Prescott in July. The event has already generated a lot of buzz.

Mark Zalepa for Promoter of the Year. I don't think anybody who has done as much for this sport has gone as long as he has without being recognized for his efforts with this award.

There are no more OAA events scheduled until Provincials. Now that there is a year's worth of results to consider, I encourage everyone to use this thread to state their cases for the people they think should win these awards.
