This O.A.A. sanctioned event is happening at Slapshot Bar and Grill, Belleville Ontario. Check it out at www.slapshotbarandgrill.com. Canadian Professional Championship Supermatches start at 12:00 noon, tournament starts at 2:30. The tournament itself is a triple elimination event meaning you must lose three times to be eliminated, which also means more pulling, and more opportunity for success/learning opportunities for everyone. (consider that) Weight divisions are 0-165lbs, 166-187lbs, 188-220lbs, 221+lbs, womens open, and the Free single elimination overalls. Your entry to the overall division is free when you enter a regular division. Winners of each division qualify for a Arm Melter Canadian Professional Championship supermatch at Arm Melter 15, September 15th. For info, pics, profiles and more, check out www.armmelter.com. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jake Charles has replaced Tyler Wilkinson in the 166-187 left supermatch. Matt Goldfarb has replaced Dan Bellefuille in the 187-220 right hand supermatch. Sylvie Dufresne is out in the Womens right supermatch. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More info.... oaa1.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=events&action=display&thread=1652

2 competitors will be attempting to win 2 supermatches with one hand.
Allen Ford will face Matt Goldfarb and Christian Bernard, right handed.
Christian Bernard will face Tyler Robinson and Allen Ford, left handed.
Both Allen and Christian have 3 total supermatches each.
Allen has twice successfully won 2 matches with one hand. (The only man to do this at the Arm Melter, or anywhere, ever, perhaps)
Christian was impressive at Arm Melter 13, and just put on a very good show in Prescott, looking very strong pulling newly crowned #1 left on the planet, Devon Larratt.

Predictions?
Because I organize the event, I don't like to make (public) predictions, but I would like to see some opinions.

Christian put on a good show in Prescott is an understatement. Al has a chance righty but you are going to need a Devon or Earl,Perron Heidabrech(spelling) to beat Christian in a match left. He will be able to drink a brewsky(if that wasn't a foul) , smile, and nicely pin everyone left handed.

Jason, I think Tyler and Allen have what it takes to, collectively, give Christian some problems. We'll see. 2 supermatches is realistically, unfair, IMO.
Joel, my son just always picks the favorite.

Let's here some more opinions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why does John Milne stand a chance vs Big Dan???

Start John and Dan in the straps match 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Make it happen!!!!! Would love to see Tyler beat Christian, but there is too big of a gap.

Christian will be experiencing twice the fatigue facing two competitors. One on one, things, perhaps, would be different. Not making any prediction here, but I think the champs are the favorite.
And, IMO, John Milne has what it takes to beat Dan, possibly, (not saying that he will), because the supermatch format suits John's skills. And, that is why he has success at Arm Wars. John is a grinder, and a thinker,,,, but he is a grinder, and he's strong and he has tons of supermatch experience. And, he pulls with a lot of heart.
Not saying he definately will win. I recently pulled with Dan Kadlec, he felt like he was strong enough to pick me up and throw me over his head.
This has the potential to be a very, very good supermatch.

Why does John stand a chance vs. Big Dan?
He has a better nickname He invented The Can Opener He looks good doing the table smash The Grippler will be in his corner Mr. Manjin will guilt Dan into going straps for match 3 (then it will be over) He is an Arm Melter Superstar - face it, it's true and you know it Guy Windover said Dan was a sure thing in this match Guy Windover is an old bastard John Milne has enough cocck and ba1ls to choke a blue whale

It's hard to argue with the reasons John has listed.
