The Arm Melter Armwrestling League is expanding!
I am pleased to announce we will be adding a new division! Not to the Arm Melter events themselves, but for a new series which will be called "Arm Melter Nitro".
The Nitro series will include supermatches which the Arm Melter league promotes/sponsors, which are not involved in the Canadian Professional Championship Supermatch series.
Currently, the Nitro series has 1 belt - the open right. It will be up for grabs, Saturday, November 17th, at the Eastern Ontario Championships in Kingston, in a invitation only, heavyweight "battle royal" type event. Invitations will be sent out soon for this event. Some will get invited, some won't. For those who don't get invited, sorry - next time.
This title will be managed under the Arm Melter league, however, it will not have the same criteria for eligibility.
I will not be posting the names of the competitors involved in the Nitro Championship tournament. Although, competitors themselves can choose to say if they are competing or not.
The new champion will be expected to defend the title within 3 months of winning it, and every three months after that, with a mutually agreed upon venue and opponent.
My intention is that Arm Melter Nitro title matches will occur at tournaments that tend to host supermatches, (regardless of location, Nitro belt will travel based on expenses). Venues like Ribfest, Summer Smackdown, etc.
Personally I will say, I am glad to have the opportunity to promote many more meaningful supermatches. And, I know this Nitro championship tournament will be, kinda, an epic event for those involved. It will be a level playing field and I am certain all of the entries have a great opportunity to become champion. I'm very excited about this expansion.
