Todd vs Bagent for $50,000 in Las Vegas on Aug. 17, along with $30k in prize money for what appears to be a right-handed event only. www.worldbararmwrestling.com/Do you think this will really happen? Lots of details are lacking, and no mention is made of it at the host web site. Who's putting up the money? "Joe Hand Promotions" appears to be a promoter (for PPV in bars, etc.) - not a sponsor.

I think Allan Fischer is only setting up a web site - not as a sponsor.
What are "Nap Sport Rules"?

NAP = National Armwrestling Promotions. This is Bill Collins' organization.
The combination of large cash prizes, few details, and lack of clarity around who is behind all of this leads me to believe it's too good to be true. But I hope I'm wrong.

Re: the June 16 event in Vegas:
On Facebook, Allen Fisher reported "Last I heard, 45 pullers entered". Bill Collins reported "Not positive, but I heard 30 for the whole event". $60 entry fee.
Is this considered a success? Apparently - all prize money ($8250) plus a Harley (won by Allen) was given out. Will the next event (July 7, Asbury Park NJ; $3950 in prizes with a $15 entry fee) be any more "successful"?
The August 24 event is still scheduled for Vegas with well over $50k in prizes. $100 entry fee.

The Aug event says "All foreign competitors will not have to pay an Entry Fee or a 3 night Room Stay." Is this for real!! Is Canada a foreign country? Last I checked it was. That makes this a lot more inviting.

Also Hugh, I am pretty sure the event says Aug 24 not the 17th.

Just letting people know that I contacted Marvin Cohen about entry fees and hotel costs for Aug 24 tournament. I was told that Canadians are foreigners and would get free entry and hotel for tournament. This is crazy so I guess I'll see you in Vegas. 190 will be a problem for me but weigh-ins are the day before so there will be time to recover.

Check the new rules for the Las Vegas event (not totally free entry and hotel):
"All foreign traveling competitors will not have to pay an Entry Fee for the first class they enter, but Entry Fee for any additional classes will be required. They will also receive a 2 night Room Stay (double occupancy required). You must contact Marvin for this arrangement: mce24u@gmail.com"

So I am planning on going to this event. I am just wondering if any one else is planning on going? The rooms are covered but its double occupancy, so I am looking go someone to share a room with. Let me know.
