This year we are fortunate to have the National Championships here in Ontario for only the second time in the past 11 years. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this great opportunity to meet and compete against pullers from across the country, for lower than average travel costs. The first step is to attend the Provincial Championships in Gravenhurst this Saturday. Joey and Ashley have been doing a lot to promote the sport in the area over the past year, and I expect there will be a lot of new faces.
I look forward to a strong turnout. See you on Saturday.

Eric, I have a question. People from outside the province are allowed to pull in provincial tournaments? I'm confused as to how that makes sense. What happens if someone from BC wins a title as Ontario Provincial champion, when he doesn't live in Ontario...?

The Ontario Provincial Championship is a closed event -- only Ontario residents are eligible to participate. In my first post in this thread, I meant that competing at the Nationals in Timmins is a good opportunity to meet pullers from across the country.
Not all provinces hold "closed" Provincials. In the past, the Quebec Provincials were open to competitors from outside the province, but this is no longer the case. I know this year's Alberta Provincials was also an open event. Most state championships are open, too. This is simply due to to the fact that the turnout would be too low if the events were closed. We are fortunate in Ontario to have a good pool of armwrestlers.

While waiting for the full results, can anyone help me put together the list of first place finishers (men's open, women's open, and masters divisions)? I'm pretty sure about the following results, but what about the others?
R176 - George L176 - Shea R242 - Allen L242 - Eric R243+ - Rick L243+ - Mike
MR176 - George ML221+ - Mike
