Has the idea of provincials 2013/2014 been carved in stone for 3 weeks after the MGC??? Or is this still up in the air yet?? I havent heard or seen any news regarding the topic. In fact I think this is the first time EVER i've seen the "upcoming events" page with no upcoming tournies. Is the circuit going to be completed prior to provincials??? Or are we starting fresh after Nationals???

Good questions. I still hold hope that the Provincials will be moved to the fall this year (as was originally decided) because having the MGC, Provincials, and Nationals within a 7-week period isn't benefitting anyone.

exactly Eric ,i havn't said a word as i have been recovering from surgery , as any expierienced puller knows you need 1 month between large events or over time the small injuries take there toll, not enough recovery =1 your not at your peak and risk longer recovery ,2 not a fair representation of your ranking ,aswell being burnt out from the mental aspect 3 the most important--- low turnout which hurts the promoter ,in the end a devistating blow for the visibility of the sport . The costs of a tourny can easily be kept down , pullers want to pull, they don't need incentives , keep the fees low and you get turnout, rember the pullers are the show sell that to the corporations to raise money . Allen Fisher may have it right with the Tv show . How many watch Gold Rush ? you know idiot Todd the now multi millionere , we have agood product so lets market much better . And Joey your not making friends by being thin skined ,it's not too late to turn the whole situation around . There are lots who don't keep things personal and will bury the hatchet if there allowed a say in what's going on . Competitive rivalry's are fine ,but this orginzation needs to pull together or fold end of story .

Your right Dave my skin has gotten thin over the years.
All the political BS that I have seen and put up with would wear anyone's skin thin.
Being President of the Ontario Armwrestling Association, Vice President of the Canadian Federation, Vice President of the North American Federation and acting Vice President of the World Armwrestling Federation all in one year is just to much and my skin has gotten thin.
I'm just kidding Dave, my skin hasn't gotten thin, I'm just tired of listening to people complain and not do anything about the problem. I've opened it up for people like yourself who aren't so thin skinned to take over from me, but nobody has volunteered for the job. So Dave it's not to late for you to jump at the chance and show people how thick your skin is.
If no one volunteers for the job I will keep it, there will be no elections this year and all you thick skinned people will have to wait until next years scheduled elections to show every one what your made of.
And yes Mike Gould will be hosting the provincials on April 26th, 1 month after the Mike Gould Classic.

We're currently working on this year's schedule, and I expect to publish something soon. I think there will be 15+ tournaments in Ontario this year.
The weight classes at Nationals are now 63 kg / 70 kg / 77 kg / 86 kg / 95 kg / 105 kg / 105+ kg (or in lbs: 139 / 154 / 170 / 189 / 209 / 231 / 231+).
