What an incredible event! Around 160 entries, and not finishing until midnight! Home a little after 5 am.
I didn't note complete results - but congratulations to the Sudbury connection of Brad Wade and Dan Bellefeuille - whose performances in the pro 154's denied perennial favourites Chris Gobby and Maxim Khodau possession of any first-place money.
My performance: three losses against people with whom I drove 4 1/2 hours each way :-) Oh well - I had some good matches with Gary Roberts (Arm TV) on the practice table. There will be lots of upcoming videos - Arm TV, In the Hook, and Armsports were all there filming.

Wicked tournament. My memmories - Amateurs - lots of young hungry talent. some guys are improving very quickly and will soon be in that "fun" transition period. a standout in my mind is John Bosuum, he has improved a gigantic leap
154's were probably one of the most stacked classes i have ever seen in my life. Brade Wade..... wow.... look the f out. very elite group.
176- Shea and Kyle are the rising stars in this class.. very different. Kyle is like fire, Shea is just a freak who really does not like to loose. It will be very hard for George to keep these dudes off him.
98's - Brian had a large seperation from the pack, i was very impressed with how Jeff Slater pulled.
Open - Sylvain vs Garvin Lewis was ridiculous! like 2 minutes of hook madness. wow. Eric is Morally a very good man.
Ladies - The best Ladies Class i have seen first hand, or ever here in Canada IMO. Very exciting.
Thank you Mike for running this tournament every year. In my opinion the Mike Gould Classic has been the motivation for so many armwrestlers (as it should be) and will continue to keep ontario as one of the Mecca's of armwrestling in the world. "Good on Ya"

Thanks Mike for hosting a very memorable event also thanks to Joe Gould the refs who did a excellent job and everyone else who was involved in making this huge day come together, imo i think every armwrestler out there should experiance a tournament like that one, it also was a day of getting alot of knowledge from everyone there, just a all around super day i gained alot more motivation to train harder and become alot more deticated to the sport in many different ways.

Have been contemplating this tourney since it ended. Firstly CONGRATULATIONS to Daylan on his incredible achievement in the 199+L 1st place finish!!! You have earned it and I can imagine your shirts are not fitting anymore. LOL (Head won't fit through). Michael Eakman in 199+ R wow what a brute! Look out supers. Great amateur event and lots of upsets. Was great to watch and compete. Pro's- Way to go Brad Wade!! Have been watching your hunger brew all year and you picked the perfect time to boil. What a show you put on. Congrats. Sudbury water is now on sale. Hehe Kyle and George, great battle. Shea always a pleasure to watch. Brian - Still dominate.Great tips and hope you can make it out sometime. Supers definitel stole the show and Garvin and Sylvain's battle was epic. Mike Gould also was monumental even though I can't imagine his head could totally be in the game with running the show as well. I am still so impressed with the "old" hands such as Garth, Pat, and nice to see Phil back in the game. Hope they choose to stick around and continue. Thanks Joe and Rebecca and Refs for a great time.
