We will be holding a reff clinic at the provincals. It will be held on the 23 of May at the Rideau Carlton Raceway. I would like to start this at 11 am. I would like to see between 12 and 15 people to attened this. this is for levels 1,2 and 3. If you want to attened please PM me. The cost is 40$ if you have never taken one 20$ if you have. If we dont get a minimum of 12 we will not have this. Let me know asap.

Well lets get everyone on board then. This thread has been open for some time. Dave said he had only 3 replies on an earlier post. We should all be doing what we can to assure this clinic happens.
In my opinion, we would all be better armwrestlers if we were ref's as well. Also, it might eliminate some of the complaining (not that there is alot) but to understand the other side of the table when a call is made will help everyone in the end.
Knowledge is power. Knowing and understanding the rules is very important in one's development as an armwrestler and being a ref once in a while would be good for everyone. It's not as easy as it looks to wear the stripes. You might be surprised at how much you learn about armwrestling while you are up there as well.
Sign up, learn some, have some fun, and be on the other side of the heat once in a while. Reffing is enjoyable and you'd be helping the sport by just signing up for this clinic.

I'm trying to see what can be done to save this clinic. For now what would help is if anyone who wants to take the clinic can post their interest. So far, the following people want to attend:
Allen Ford
Eric Roussin
Jeff Slater
Guy Windover
John Bosum
Brian Coonishish
Phil Saddler
Yves Drouin
Who else? The cost is $40 for initial certifications and $20 for subsequent certifications. The cost includes lunch.

I would like to call on the Ottawa team (since it is in our city) to do what you can to support this. We have a responsibility and we should be doing everything we can.
