Anyone have an update on results for team and individual points for the year? Does the tourney in Barrie in July count for points also, and if so does it go for team/individual points? If anyone has an update please let me know.

Results from circuit sanctioned events and the Provincial Championships count for Puller of the Year, Team of the Year, the Ontario's Strongest Armwrestling Region. The standings need to be updated based on the the results from the Northern Ontario Armwrestling Championships held by Big Luke -- I'm just waiting to receive the final results from him. The only remaining event that counts for points for the OAA 2008-2009 season is the Provincial Championships next week. The new season will kick off with the first circuit event of the year, which is likely to be held in early fall. The season always ends with the Provincials. Although the events over the summer don't count for points, they all bring something slightly different to the table and should be great events. Excluding the Northern Ontario Championships, here are the standings: www.ontarioarmwrestling.com/puller_of_the_year_standings08.htmwww.ontarioarmwrestling.com/team_standings08.htmwww.ontarioarmwrestling.com/region_standings08.htm

I've received the results from the Northern Ontario Championships. They can be found in the Tournament Results section of the board, as well as on the OAA website. The various points races are now up to date. www.ontarioarmwrestling.com/puller_of_the_year_standings08.htmwww.ontarioarmwrestling.com/team_standings08.htmwww.ontarioarmwrestling.com/region_standings08.htm It looks like either Shea Dickie or Al Aubin will win the Male Puller of the Year title. Laura Cook has already sealed the deal and is this year's Female Puller of the Year. It will be very tough for any team to catch the Teeswater Thunder for Team of the Year. It will also be nearly impossible to overtake Western Ontario as Ontario's Strongest Armwrestling Region, although I know Eastern Ontario will have a strong finish this weekend.
