There is no such thing. I'm trying to get in touch with Jeff to talk about other alternatives.

Either the MAX fund (Mapleton Arena Expansion), the OAA, or whatever else Jeff decides.

i was under the understanding that as a province we had to raise money to be recognized by the Canadian sports to one day be able to make arm wrestling an Olympic sport . ( this i got from one of your previous posts Eric) if there is no fund started for that then why not and if not then i so pouse 90 % will go to the OAA to start such a fund.
WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO BLOW THIS SPORT WIDE OPEN

You're right Jeff. In order to be officially recognized by Sport Canada, the Canadian Arm Wrestling Federation needs to have at least $50,000 in its account (among other requirements). Being recognized by Sport Canada would make government funding and athlete sponsorship possible. If armwrestling were ever to get to the Olympics, the sport would definitely need to be recognized by Sport Canada. If you would like to contribute towards this goal, you can donate to the OAA and we will in turn forward the money to the CAWF.

"Wow" this is not going to be a small task. How meany members are needed to go along with the $50.000. If i remmber right the Ontario Games were after the O.A.A for years and the O.A.A siad no becoues it was on the same date as the Canadians at that time. I do think we need 5,000 members across canada to do this. (I THINK)

This is a great goal, I would be proud to be a part of it all. I could see it happening faster than some might think. Olympics might take a while but being recognized by Sport Canada should be in the near future. I wonder what the requirements are?

I'm not trying to start the impossible I'm just trying to put a little back in to this sport i love and i would love to see in the Olympics one day. rather than water polo.
SO if a fund is started from whatever we get than so be it and bill if there is more regiments i would defiantly like to here thim and we can make one step at a time.
and PS bill of coarse i would be honored if you would pull at my turny

UNLESS THE OAA AND CAWF ARE REGISTERED THROUGH THE GOVNERMENT AS A NON PROFIT OR WHATEVER ORGANIZATION IT WON'T HAPPEN. PLUS THE $50,000.00 TO SPORT CANADA..TO START..IT MIGHT COST $100.00 TO REGISTER (THE OAA). ALL $$$$$ WOULD HAVE TO BE COUNTED FOR , COMING IN AND OUT THEN....
