Just got off the phone with John + Eric, I just got a partial picture- Supers - Sylvain left + right Richard Viens did very well (i believe 2nd) Grippler 3rd/ 4th
205 Eric 1st left, Simon 1st right (they each got 2nd aswell in the alternate hand *Eric beat Simon 1st match Right hand) i believe Niccola got 3rd and John got 4th
165 - i heard was a strong deep class (as usual this last while) Denis 1st each arm, i am not sure about the placements, but i did hear that Chris Gobby beat Brad Wade 2x, (i am gonna guess these guys got 2nd and 3rd, but??)
sounds like it was a good time, congratulations to the winners!

1st/2nd in each pro class (most classes had 6-9 entries). $700 1st; 400 2nd; 250 (I think) 3rd:
165 R: Denis Dubreuil, Dan Bellefeuille. 206 R: Simon Perron, Eric Roussin. 206+ R: Sylvain Perron, Christain Bernard. 165 L: Denis Dubreuil, Chris Gobby. 206 L: Eric Roussin, Simon Perron. 206+ L: Sylvain Perron, Dave Turgeon.
Thanks, Eric, for treating the 14 (!) of us to dinner at Baton Rouge.

In addition, there were two supermatches.
1) Marc Vachon beat David Sevigny 2-0 right. 2) David Sevigny beat Marc Vachon 2-0 left.
The tournament was held in a small tent at the Quebec City fairgrounds. Lots of room for spectators (outdoors) - but the 12 degree temperatures and light drizzle made it a challenge for all concerned. (but cotton candy, popcorn, and horse manure were abundant)

I was thrilled to beat Simon Perron with both arms! Although I hadn't pulled him in a while, I had never even slowed him down before. My right arm was out of gas by the time I met him in the final and he beat me then, but I was still very happy.
Nicola Gazzetto and Heintje Bergeron really impressed me at this event. Both gave me a lot of trouble.
It was nice to see so many old-time Quebec armwrestlers come out of the woodwork and still do extremely well.

JOE SYLVAIN AND THIS CHRISTIAN GUY...BUT I HAVE MAJOR ISSUE WITH THAT LOSE BUT NOT WITH CHRIS. THE MATCH STOPED CENTER OF THE TABLE AND I FELT HIS BICEP PRESSURE WAS GREATER THAN MINE SO I TRIED THE MOVE I ALWAYS USE WHEN I'M IN A GRIND OUT MATCH ...I PUT MY SHOULDER BEHIND MY ARM AND MY LEG THRO THE PEGS AND DRIVE....HOWEVER DO TO HOW THE THE TABLEWAS CONTRUCTED THEIR WAS A BAR TO HIGH UP ON THE PEGS TO GET MY LEG OVER AND I COULD N'T PULL IN MY COMFORT ZONE...IT WOULD BE A WAR EVEN IF I GOT IN POSITION BUT I FEEL IT WOULD OF BEEN ENOUGH!! OH BUY THE WAY HE SAID HE COME TO AN ARM MELTER TO HAVE ME A SUPERMATCH SO WILL SEE IT AGAIN!!
