Yesterday, my brother and I helped out Corrections Canada for a United Way fundraiser armwrestling challenge.
It was from 11:30 till 12:30 while the students of the corrections program were on their lunch break. The students had the opportunity to armwrestle their instructors for $5, with all the proceeds going to the United Way.
I was surprised at the overall enthusiam. They armwrestled for the whole hour with well over 20 matches - and no injuries.
Mike and I concluded the event with one right handed and one left handed match. He won the left, I won the right. These matches raised a few dollars as well.
After the fundraiser, we got a free lunch and a tour of the school. I can't tell you how much fun I had. It was awesome. The tour was a real eye opener.
Thanks to Giles Sharp and all the staff.

As well, I closed a Captains of Crush 2.5. I had never tried the COC 2.5 and had wondered how I would do. No problem.

These types of events are great for exposing new people to the sport. Thanks Joe and Mike for running this.
Congrats on the 2.5 -- I'm not even close to closing that one.

Joe Gould should be listed as National Champion and not "new member"
