Here's my five "CENTS" 0 - 165 165 - 185 185 - 195 195 - 215 215 - 245 245 - Over I know that makes six Class's but i think it opens it up that allmost anyone can win. There thats my 5 cents.

i believe that in a 4 class format, if total entries are the ultimate goal then... 0-154, 155-185, 186-215, 215-up. Simular to what ROTN had a few years back before moving to 3 class format. In terms of Arnold Classic, if u finish top 3 in ur respective class, u qualify in whatever class you can make weight in. No sense to force Crazy George to pull 198 (at arnolds) because he qualified at 185(mgc) at a body weight of 176-180. I beleive Denise would respect that... otherwise, ur probably compelled to run the Arnolds classes. A good example is our Nationals. it is however a Arnold qualifier, and in qualifing in the 165 class in 07, i was permitted to pull 154 at arnolds... as long as i could make weight. I beleive in theory that 154 is the most ideal lightwieght class, as is 185 for middlewight, 215 for light heavywieght, and 215 plus for super heavyweight. if running 3 classes, then 160, 200, 200 plus.

Gobby has got it right. That would be the ideal split in my opinion. Bill's classes aren't too bad, for 6, but when qualifing for Arnold's, it would be too hard to break down. 165's could be a huge class.

I like the idea of the 4 classes, and making them as close to the Arnold's as possible is the best. I think this year is going to be big for the MGC and i don't think you will have to worry about only having 4 in a class Mike! My opinion is 0-165, 166-195, 195-220, 221-over this way i can go in two classes and kick some ass...lol. But seriously i think these classes will all be huge classes no classes with two few pullers. I can't wait for this one but its going to be a busy time for some with the possibility of arm melter the end of Feb, Arnolds the beginning of March and MCG's mid March,.........Wow!!

the 165 class would be big, because it would be a hybrid class of lightweights and middleweights that have dropped weight. The problem is because of the 176's dropping down u will have a fair number of non elite true lighweights choosing not to pull. 165 only makes sense in a 3 class format. Which ever classes u decide Mike, u will have a boat load from quebec.

so u ll have a 33 pound jump from 165 to 198. and then a 21 pound jump from 199-220??? not logical. the general pattern is, as the classes increase so does the margin between. Its done to keep the percentage of weight differential consistent and proportional. Thats why at nationals and worlds the classes go up in incriments of 10 pounds, untill 198, then it goes 220 and 242.

I just want 165, it doesn't really matter what happens after that LOL, if I'm gonna ask or make a suggestion I'm going to suggest something that makes sense to me, because most likely I'm gonna go there and donate 100 dollars regardless of what class I'm in, I'm gonna beat Chris Gobby though hahaha

Just My 2 cents
but
0-154 155-176 177-198 199-220 221+
Its 5 classes and the margin of between remains fairly consistent..... only other way i can see keeping consistency is
0-160 161-180 181-200 201-230 230+
just tossing out numbers hear but the unconvential classes might make it easier to keep most ppl happy...again its 5 classes but its spread fairly evenly....

To me it doesn't matter, since I'll always be the in + section. ;D
But, since everyone else is throwing numbers around. Keeping the weight ranges somewhat consistent...
165 198 230 +
But, I'm sure whatever Mike decides on will work best.
