Just for clarification - it's spelt "Mistassini". It's in Cree territory, near Lac St-Jean in Quebec - about 3 hours north of Quebec City.

To clarify even more - there are two towns with similar names:

Dolbeau-Mistassini - that is the one near Lac St-Jean. Not a Cree settlement - its main employer is an Abitibi-Bowater paper mill. It is three hours north of Quebec City.

Mistissini is the Cree settlement (population 4,000), and is much more isolated. It's on the shore of Lake Mistissini - Quebec's largest natural lake - 90km north of Chibougamau.

Google Maps gives 606 km as the distance from Montreal.
