The Quebec Enduro Open is just two weeks away. This event will be the first of its type, and I can’t wait to take part in it. For those who don’t know, this is a QUINTUPLE elimination event, with only one open right hand class. At the beginning of each round, in each individual bracket, competitors will be lined up by weight and matched up against pullers who are closest in weight. This will ensure that lighter competitors will have a fair chance of getting further into the tournament. There will be cash prizes to the top 15 finishers.
A few additional details:
There will be a right hand supermatch between JOHN BRZENK and SYLVAIN PERRON. TRAVIS BAGENT will be in attendance, and will give an armwrestling seminar after the conclusion of the event (must pay to attend). Three tables will be run continuously and everything will be done by 7pm. The event will be streamed live by Armsport Videos.
I know that many Quebec pullers will be coming to compete, and even a few from the Maritimes are expected. I hope a large number of Ontario pullers make it out to really make this special event a memorable one.

I'm really excited about this event! I'm hoping to pull, however running the draw sheet will demand my full attention . I'm mostly looking forward to witnessing match ups which have never been seen before... And along with that, some massive upsets late in rounds when pullers are fatiguing. I feel that hypotheticlly if I did pull I would finish in top 15 because of my endurance. Then again, getting into long grinding matches everytime would not be favorable . This also is a landmark event in Quebec, being that John and Travis have never competed in this province before. And of course because if the format we can potentially see John and Travis or John and sylvain pull eachother 4-5 times in the open class. It's actually conceivable that including the super match, John and sylvain can hook up 10 times!! There will be some very sore arms in the following week... That is certain.

John actually competed in Amos in the late '80s, but that was a long time ago.

I just received news from John that due to a minor injury that happened 2 weeks ago in Erie, he has pulled our of the event. I am greatly dissapointed in this, and hope that this does not detract anyone from coming. Sylvain was dissapointed as well, but with a rested arm he will look to make a strong run at the 600$ 1st place prize. On a positive note, I am anticipating upwards of 70-80 entries in the OPEN CLASS! We also have 15 confirmed for Travis' seminar which will take place in a privately owned gym designed for aw after the event.

I believe the cost is $100, but Chris can confirm. Are you thinking of coming to the event?

Cant wait for the seminar!!! I am pumped to see how this event will layout, really didnt care about the supermatch, but feel for Sylvain after all his hard work, hope someone else gets him first..... yikes. This is a truly unique event and I only hope I can last all 5 losses before my nap, LOL.

I think I have a very good chance of getting Sylvain first round, as I think we currently weigh within one or two pounds of each other.
I did the math, and based on expected turnout, the person who manages to stay on the A will only need to pull 6 matches and then have a break until we're down to the final five. However, the person who ends up in the E bracket by the time we're down to the top 5 will have had 15-18 matches. This is going to be crazy!

Steve, travis charges 100$ for seminar. We have 15 confirmed. It lasts 4 hrs. I've taken it b4 and will take it again on Saturday. He offers some of the biggest tips out there and really opened my eyes and made me a smarted puller. John Milne took it and found it so helpful that he is taking it again on Saturday. The bonus is, it will take place immediatly after event at a local privately owned gym(designed for aw by Michel roy). People can always sign up on Saturday. Plus what Travis might do is, any entries after 15, the money coming in will be divided and givin back to initial 15.

I soooo wanted to be there myself this weekend but I had an injury aswell at work. This really sucks! I am sure this will be one of the biggest events of the year! Sylvain should have a supermatch against one of the heavy's that will attend! One that is close to his ranking status of course. lol
