Good luck to the Big Man Joe Gould at World's! Take 'em down, Joe. Downtown. Just like the song says.

Thanks Jeff - I appreciate it. I'm going to need some luck for sure!
I would like to say thanks to the folks who have contributed financially to my trip. Inparticular - John Roberts and Guy Windover - thanks fellas. Also to John Milne and Mike Gould for essentially reffing for free this weekend. Worlds is a very costly endeavor and you guys have really helped take some of the financial burden off me. THANKS!
I have been training harder than ever the last two months or so, but I don't feel necessarily any stronger - but I am now in rest and heal mode, so hopefully my power can peak on the day I compete, next Friday.
I have some weight to lose too. Not much though. I am 247 right now, needing to be 242 by next Tuesday. My concerns are, what if my scale is not accurate and I am slightly heavier than what I think I am, and, having not pulled at Worlds before I don't know how much time one has to lose the extra weight if they weigh heavy. A couple of good cardio days should put me at 242.
Anyway, I am working hard, and I want to represent Canada - and more specifically, Ontario, as best as I can.
See ya's all in Oshawa December 7th and then in Smith Falls the 13th - I'm reffing both!

Joe, we wish you the utmost best! No pressure, just enjoy the experience. You are seasoned you are ready! Take the world by storm. I can't think of any more cliches at the moment but I am sure you get the point. You and Rebecca have a safe and great trip.

Not a great day for me.
0-2 record.
Losses to Armenia and Russia. Great experience anyway, and I am a better puller for being here.
Humbling day though. Back to the drawing board.
Thanks to all my supporters.

That's okay, Joe- congratulations on representing Canada at your first World's. That's big honor that I can't even imagine. You were in there with a bunch of guys your own calibre- National Champions- and you certainly belong there, make no maistake about it, Bro. It just wasn't your day, that's all. You're still the Champ!
