At this year’s OAA Annual General Meeting, it was decided that entry fees at circuit sanctioned events would be raised by $5, with the increase going directly to the OAA. These funds would be used to help Ontario pullers offset costs associated with attending the Canadian Championships.
The budget we are working with is approximately $2,000, which corresponds to expected OAA revenues from the 2010-2011 circuit sanctioned event season. Does anyone have suggestions regarding how the funds should be distributed? Should only the first place winners at the Provincials receive help to attend Nationals? Should it be the top three in each class? Should there just be random draws of everyone in attendance at Provincials? Should a little support be given to many pullers, or a lot of support given to just a few?
I have a few ideas, but first I’d like to hear what others think.

Someone like Al Aubin who supports almost every event should get a chunk of that. I'm sorry but I don't remember who Al split the Ironman award with this year, but those people should be awarded for their dedication and support IMO.
I like the idea of helping those who help you the most.

It was Kyle Kerswill. Hard to argue that point!! Does supporting many OAA Sancitioned events carry more weight then not and just showing up at provincials and placing??? Hmmm
