Possible Incentives for Ontario Athletes

The 2010-2011 circuit sanctioned events are the following ones:

Eastern Ontario – Kingston – November 20th
Central Ontario – Peterborough – January 29th
Western Ontario – Port Elgin – February 26th
Southern Ontario – Woodstock – April 16th
Northern Ontario – North Bay – May 7th

Provincial Championships – Belleville – July 16th

Based on the feedback received so far, most seem to feel that more support should be given to the competitors who regularly attend events, rather than just the top pullers.

Currently, the Male and Female Pullers of the Year each receive $200 towards offsetting costs at the Canadian Championships. How about if we also offered the following:

• $200 to the winner of the Ironman award – the person who attends the most OAA events, both sanctioned and circuit sanctioned, throughout the year
  
• $300 to the Team of the Year
  
• One free entry to the Canadian Championships for anyone who competes in 4 regional circuit tournaments as well as the Provincials
  
• Two free entries to the Canadian Championships for anyone who competes in all 5 regional circuit tournaments as well as the Provincials (both entries must be used by the same competitor)
  
• One free entry to the Canadian Championships for anyone who wins a class at the Provincial Championships (someone who wins two classes receives two free entries)

These new proposals sound awesome Eric! These new incentives will help more people attend the nationals. The money should go to the pullers that support the OAA the most because that's where the money comes from anyway!

i realy like that idea eric and i was aposed to the raise in fees and for that i say good work

Since there appears to be such support for these incentives, they will be implemented for the 2010-2011 season.
