Thank you Joe and BAC and Devon for allowing us the honor of practicing with you guys. Once again there is no other sport in the world that you can learn from the best in an atmosphere of comraderie that we were in last night. Devon's strength is only surpassed by his willingness to share his knowledge in such basic instruction that you feel more improved after. So much info and so little time. LOL Joe you are a class act and so is your club. Thanks for the hospitality!!! Mike Gould's is going to rock! The electricity last night in anticipation for this event is one you will not want to miss.

Thursday April 2, 09
Mike Gould Joe Gould Daylan Thomas Tony Brooks Kerry Donaldson Cash McCaw
Dreadful news from this practice. Cash McCaw broke his left arm. This was early in the night while he was warming up with Mike. Cash got too aggressive for a split second and lost good form.
Cash had just started training with us with maybe 5 practices and one tournament under his belt - where he had displayed proper/safe form.
Cash is a good guy and I feel very bad for him. Ironicly, this was the day he got a Provincial top 20 ranking.
This was our clubs first break arm in our over 10 years of training. For Mike it's his first in approximately 20 years of armwrestling.

This was a terible tragedy. Cash has shown great enthusiasm and effort, he has made progressive improvements in a short time. I wish i could have caught him in time but there was no warning. With my years of experiance in the sport i feel we both were in good position as we were only warming up. I hope and wish Cash a speedy and full recovery.

I would just like to say to Mike, Joe and the rest of the team:
Since day one it’s been a blast and I was learning from every one of you. You guys are great teachers/teammates and always professional with safety, first consideration.
I hope my mistake does not reflect poorly on the rest of you guys/sport. Warm up was not part of my vocabulary and my competitive nature was getting the best of me. Not sure what kind of move/form I was attempting before the snap but all I can say is it was not pretty.
That was the first night since day one where my arms where not in pain and I was feeling strong (right handed anyway). For anyone interested I can honestly say if you are going to break your arm at a Belleville practice to do it early in the night as it is less painful than any previous practices I have been too. Even now I find it nice, that I at least have one arm I can move. Maybe not tonight but I will be out to practice to show off some scars/good pics and be the guy who is there to represent what not to do.
Will I pull again?
You bet. I think now I will try to take it a little easier until I get the hang of it.
Or at least until the feeling in my arm comes back. Can’t go fishing with two bum arms…..lol

VERY CLASSY CASH!!!! If you can't hear me I am applauding. Take up the banner of safe pulling. We need more spokespeople. Safe and careful recovery!
