There is alot of strong african americans in UFC , etc, Kimbo Slice , The Spider Silva, Rampage etc... i thinks its just over looked topic my view to this topic.... UFC is martial arts, not a strength sport "technically"

I wasn't going to comment on this but.... I probably have the WORST genetics for this sport or a lot of other things I've done in the past I should've been able to do. But I've also beaten a lot of guys who are a lot better genetically than me. Why? (and this may p!$$ somebody off sorry but...) I worked harder for it and the guys who beat me worked harder than I did too. Genetic potential is BS because it's potential only and unrealized potential in anything is meaningless. I've also seen it used as an excuse. "I've got bad genetics or he's got good genetics so why bother?" or People who don't work as hard at something because they have better genetics for it. And who can know when they reach their limit genetic potential? I don't think there's been an athlete yet in ANY sport that said "I reached my genetic limit so I quit."

Agreed Jeff. That's kinda what I was leading to in my last post. At the end of the day it all comes down to the individuals "intagible qualities" ie: spirit, intelligence, discipline and DRIVE. If two guys want to be great at aw, one has incredible physical genetics but marginal intangibles. The other marginal physical genetics but exceptional intangibles... ALL MY MONEY is on the 2nd guy!! Always. This goes for any sport. Jeff the first tour I ever went to, I saw u comeback to win a pro 199 class(absolute WAR matches). It was the most live dramatic thing I ever saw!! The place went crazy. I remember saying "that guys got some Fu*Kin heart!".

Mike Gould Classic 2004 (back when it was still called the Central Ontario's). That was the closest I ever came to winning a pro class at this event. I think I got one win on Jeff that day, but he got two over me.

Yes it was 2/3. I think you won the right though at the Mike Gould's 2004.(??) Then you beat me at nationals that year and Battle At the Capital and I got you at the FAME and I think we each won a class at the Gloucester Fair and had a string of consecutive match of the day awards. Somebody needs to youtube these!
