May I be the first to say, THANK YOU CRUSHER!!!! I had a blast this weekend although I think I need another day off to get some sleep. LOL.
ALOT of upsets this weekend with some amazing showings.
Congratulations to ALLEN FORD. Beating Anatoly in my view is monumental to say the least. Congrats on winning a very tough class.
Seperating the Ams from the Pros was a stellar idea to say the least as it allowed proper concentration and highlighting of both. One was no greater to view than the other in my perspective and just as exciting. Kids classes are always a riot and this time was no less exciting. Thanks Dave Knox for providing the tables. The Roy boys are BEASTS!!
Great half time show by Michael Roy and Smiling Rick. Men of Steel.
Great job to Joe and Becky once again to set up a LONG tournament. Next weekend will be much more relaxing for you guys. NOT!!! LOL.
Thank you to the referees for putting up with loud mouth people who mean no harm. You guys did a great job!!!!
Once again I find myself excited for next year, and I hope Mike can find the desire to do it again. To have an event of this proportion in your own back yard is sooo fortunate.
Thanks Mike!!

Another year, another great Mike Gould Classic!
Competition was fierce as usual, but that’s one of the reasons we come to compete in this event!
Of all the classes, I think the most stacked was the pro 154. It seemed every match contained at least one national champ.
It was good to see a great turnout from Ontario and Quebec, as well as pullers from Alberta, Manitoba, New York, Vermont, and Maine (anywhere else?).
There were a number of surprises/upsets, which will keep me busy while I try to update the rankings this week.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there on Saturday, but I was able to periodically check in online to see some of the action. Thanks John, Jerry, and Scott for making this possible.
A big thank you to Mike, Joe, and Becky, as well as to all of the others who help run this event!

Big Up To the Gould Family.. Big up to Silver Back getting fired up to put me in my place. Big up to a future champ Dan Kadlec.. Big up to the boys working the computers and big ups to all that came and supported Mike Gould and the Mike Gould Classic. Remember all of us need to start making the Mike Gould Classic a priority as if life depends on it. It's "OUR" Primer armwrestling event In Canada. For Mike to be able to continue to do what he does We Ontarians need to come weather we compete or not.. Make a donation Buy food buy 50/50 tickes buy |T-Shirts I don't care. As far as Pro events go this is our back yard. Get out, Budget your money now for next year. This year i made a modest effort to support 2 classes 4 meals many drinks including Travis B paid for my seat did 50/50. Very Modest next year will be much better because if I only hit one event a year it will be "THE MIKE GOULD CLASSIC"
Grppler Out!

I'd kind of like to echo what The Grippler said. If you are available, you SHOULD be at the Mike Gould Classic supporting it. I know work, family, life etc gets in the way sometimes but we need to continue supporting Mike. There is not a better event for Am's or Pro's to attend. We as Ontario pullers have (in my humble opinion) an obligation to this event so it should be put as a priority for next year. Mark your calendars!

I like you as a person, I enjoy your fire/drive and if continued you may have great success in the sport of armwrestling. Becoming a high level armwrestler DOES NOT HAPPEN QUICKLY. There is no way to rush it so be patient. Don't get discouraged Bilal, we all get reality checks from time to time. It's good in the long run. Sure it tastes bad but you can really learn from it and become a better competitor in the long run.

Last year, OAA President and armwrestling historian - Eric Roussin, posted that to his best knowledge, last years's MGC with 238 entries, was the most he had seen in Canada, not including National championships.
244 entries this year = new record. Congrats too all competitors for competing in Canada's biggest all-time tournament.
Definately, we still have room for growth, and room for improvement, but I consider the 2011 MGC a fantastic event.
A big thank you to all the competitors for supporting the event, a few pulling 4+ divisions. Thanks also to Scott from armsportvideos.com, and John and Jerry of inthehook.com. Thanks too, to the refs - great job.
Congrats to all the winners, those who made some $, and to those who qualified for the 2012 ACAC.
