Great event...very impressive...Although I literraly sucked that day, I'm glad I got beat by someone badass pullers like Action Jackson and Dave Denault and not some noobs...I'll be training harder than ever next year hoping I can redeem myself at the next MGC Son, this wasn't a bad day, this was a reality check. I like you as a person, I enjoy your fire/drive and if continued you may have great success in the sport of armwrestling. Becoming a high level armwrestler DOES NOT HAPPEN QUICKLY. There is no way to rush it so be patient. Don't get discouraged Bilal, we all get reality checks from time to time. It's good in the long run. Sure it tastes bad but you can really learn from it and become a better competitor in the long run. Come on now, I never said I feel bad about it or I feel sorry for myself...and I never said I have any expectations. I said I'm there to pull and have fun, win or lose... I had a lot of fun and I met a lot of cool people who I hope to meet and pull again. I'll def. be a supporter of the MGC and I'll be there every year....win or lose, doesn't matter, I'm lovin this sport. ANNND don't call me son, pops....just cause you're getting older doesn't mean I'm a kid...seriously, don't call me son, kid, young gun, youngster, etc...I don't call you grandpa, so let's leave it at that. It's disrespectful. |

Id just like to say that was very pleased with the tournement. A very big thanks to all that made it happen. Joe and Becky, John and Jerry, Scott and my Reffs who did a great job and believe me i know its hard work. And again mostly all the competitors that travelled showed up and supported the event and several pulling multiple classes. Its you guys that make the tournement what it is year after year. See you all next time.

Well, well, well...I knew something freaky was going to happen Saturday when my buddy Mike the Claw told me he was going up to Buckhorn and give the other old Guy a PPAW shirt. I told him that it will Not only make Guy look good it will make him pull great and that showed at the table.
It was great to see everyone again unfortunately I could not make it on Sunday due to my Soccer team playing for the A championships that afternoon.
Props go out to everyone that was there helping to make this event successful again. Big Mikey is still the man and little Joe and his new wife to be Beckey are always a pleasure to see and I am very proud to be part of their family.
Well, it was a year away from the table and I have the itch to pull again so I will see everyone at the Provincials. Maybe my left will be ok by then, if not it will have to go into retirement.
Until then to everyone, train hard pull harder and don't get hurt and will see you in July.

Geez Pat your making me all blush and shit. I think you were the one looking good at the table sir. I think if not for a few OMG HANG ON moments you were definitely in the drivers seat all the time. I never mind losing to a brother. I think once you get training again many are in serious s**t. I was soo honoured to be part of the PPAW brotherhood and hope I can do you guys proud.

I wanted to just say kudos to those who pulled in the am's and/or masters on Saturday then came back Sunday again and did the pro class. Pulling in 2 seperate tournaments that big in 2 days back to back like that is b@d@$$ to go thru.

wish i could have came back and tried my luck at the pros on sunday lol but the 3 day drive from newfoundland pretty much drained me and drained my wallet pretty bad too... cant wait till next year tho, awesome event!

Mike, sorry I couldn't make it to the MGC. I had other family commitments. Guy and Jacob were keeping me posted on the action throughout the weekend. I'll be there next year.

I would just like to take a moment to thank Mike for putting on such a great event. It was my first time attending the MGC and I look forward to next year.
I am fairly new into the sport and have quickly learned how caring and helpful the arm wrestling community is. I didn't know very many people but I was surrounded by people who were concerned and offering to help me in any way necessary.
My arm is doing well, it was a clean break, but the jury is still out on whether or not I need surgery. I will be back at the table as soon as I can.
I am sure that I will see you all again at upcoming tournaments.
