Thursday October 30th - BAC Practice @ the Wahoo 2
In the house...
Mike Gould Joe Gould Jeff Penney Big Tony Dave Drumm
This was a very good practice. Nice to have Mike "the Crusher" Gould out. Inparticular, his left feels very good. Also, it was good to have the Rock from the Rock out again. He is very, very strong.
Next week - Round Robin armwrestling at the Wahoo 2, Thursday night. This is for BAC members currently ranked 5th or below.

I was talking to Jeremy Johnston yesterday - I tracked him down - and he says he is coming to practice tomorrow. He has not been training too much recently, but he has been riding a dirtbike in his spare time - which has been known to be good armwrestling training.

BAC Ranking Round Robin
Right Hand
1st - Matt Goldfarb 4-0 ($20 Wahoo Bucks) 2nd - Dave Drumm 2-3 3rd - Tony Brooks 0-3
Left Hand
1st - Matt Goldfarb 4-1 ($20 Wahoo Bucks) 2nd - Dave Drumm 2-2 3rd - Tony Brooks 0-3
Congratulations to Matt Goldfarb! This young man continues to improve every week. He has mature power well beyond what I would expect from a 20 year old. Outstanding Job Matt!
It was a little disappointing that we didn't have a very good turn out, especially with it being planned in advance, and I had spoken to many of the guys who had planned on coming out. None the less, it was still fun. Chris Mills was out, but was unable to pull do to personal reasons tonight - but he wanted to. I think morale might be down at the BAC right now overall.
BAC Ranking - November 6th
Right Arm
1.Joe Gould 2.Troy Eaton 3.Dave Ferguson 4.Jeff Penney 5.Matt Goldfarb 6.Dave Drumm 7.Tony Brooks 8.Daylan Thomas 9.Jeremy Johnston 10.Kerry Donaldson 11.Chris Mills
Left Arm
1.Joe Gould 2.Dave Ferguson 3.Jeff Penney 4.Matt Goldfarb 5.Dave Drumm 6.Tony Brooks 7.Daylan Thomas 8.Jeremy Johnston 9.Kerry Donaldson 10.Chris Mills
Keep in mind these rankings are just my opinion and are generally just for fun.
The three competitors in tonights round robin got automatic placing over those who did not participate. Jeff Penney drops to #4 right based on his recent loss to Ferguson.

BAC Practice - Thursday November 13th
In the house
Joe "Big Poppa" Gould "The Golden Boy" Matt Goldfarb Daylan "The Promise" Thomas
This was some good training. Sometimes the best practices are with just a couple guys - lots of table time for everyone. Goldfarb continues to impress me. He definately gets stronger every week. It was great to have the Promise back after at least a couple weeks off - his arms feel good and he is definately benefiting from the physical labour he is doing.

Bummer news Joe. My right shoulder is really pooched, and the left is going that way. I don't think I'll be doing much pulling for a while. I haven't been doing much lately anyway, but it looks like I'll be having a hiatus, unfortunately. Probably not even the Arnold's.... I may pop out for a beer tomorrow, if you guys are there... hopefully that drunk extrovert from last week won't be there.

Not good news at all Mr. Penney! I have been nursing a bum shoulder for a year now and it really sucks. Take care of it because those cereal boxes ain't gettin any lighter.

Jeff I really hope you get better. You are an inspiration to me personally, both in my training and on the table. I always look forward to seeing you and competing with you. I generally come with a (failed) plan for you and its fun to guage my success with you.
I wish you a speedy recovery Jeff. Take all the time it takes to heal it properly.
....
by the way... I'll smash you when you finally come back. This is the break I've been waiting for... a chance to catch up! The Voodoo doll I bought at a garage sale last month must have worked. I didn't believe in that stuff but hey... now who am I to argue? ;D
