I understand that things cost money and that sertin events need to be dealt with but I no way should people be left in the dark and topic not discussed before desisions are made. I for one want Scott there so if we have to raise an extra thousand by doing other things then let's do it. I'm sure john Jerry Devon Eric and the rest of the Ottawa guys would be happy to put on a bake sale or something along that line. If we have to turn to fund raising to afford certain perks then let's do it or discus it

Ok John.. you win, but what is in the past is in the past. I want to move forward from here. I was actually talking about Scott the real brains behind the "Milne organization". I know he doesn't have an account on here yet, but he should be banned from getting one, and maybe your Dad also. I have always been suspicious of his affiliations with the AAA and love of team meta hook. THat kind of shit don't fly. If we are short of money I think I know why. This whole organization went to crap when inthehook came about and started to make guys not pull OAA tournament for 2 hot dogs a month. Didn't think i'd talk?? where the fk is my mustard??? Somebody ban all Milnes before they do something else to destroy our sport
Also if someone could take Dusty off Facebook that would probably be good for our sport also.
Thank you for your time

Its ok guys... not to worry, Alice - JOhns's mom, (a lovely lady) just called me up. she told me that they had all my hot dogs and mustard that they owed me, but they by accident left their house door open. A yappy Chihuahua got in and ate the hot dogs. She assured me that everything is gonna be ok, and that John will bring me what is owed when he runs for OAA president next year. you make your team proud John!! first Eric, now you, next hopefully the Grippler, the OAA will be as OSOME as a 365 day a year MGC!!
I remember the old OAA board. man that thing really went to shit.. how did that go again? who was in charge of that? my memory is foggy.
I love elbow fouls

Well I for one would like to thank ERIC for all the hard work that was put into being press. And I grew to love and respect this organization. Even tattoed it on my arm. Now I'm feeling a lot like GUY and very didapointed in this thing we call a organization. I'm still going to but local turnys on and opens peaples eyes to the sport. And maybe I have no right to coment because I havnt paid this years dues but I have for past 5 for sure. And maybe I will be a member again

I am going to attempt to answer the questions and concerns expressed on the OAA board.
You can always expect hiccups when transitioning to a totally new Executive Board, which is what happened at this year’s Provincials.
Now, the members elected the Executive Committee and by doing this showed support for the elected committee. The new Executive met to discuss the plans for the next two year. Three of the main topics where: 1) Provincials, 2) Financial responsibility 3) Scott McInnis- Videographer.
1) We are a Provincial Association with our main mandate being the promotion of armwrestling in Ontario and preparing a Team to represent Ontario at Nationals. We should always hold a Provincials, it is the only proper way to qualify a team for Nationals. Since the Worlds Championships have been moved to mid September, we have had to move the Nationals to the long weekend in May which does not leave many choices for the hosting of the Provincials. The executive decided that it was only fair to offer Mike Gould the option of hosting the event. Which he agreed to and understood the decision. The decision was not made for any other reason than for the OAA to meet its mandate of hosting a Provincial Championship to qualify its members for Nationals.
2) Financials – When we started going through the puller incentives for the 2012/2013 season vs the money in the OAA account it was quickly apparent that there would not be enough money. Eric has already explained through a thread on the board that he had over calculated the pay-out of the incentives. The OAA was starting the new season with approx. $3900 in the red. So the Executive had to look at the whole years events; the potential income vs the expenses and make some decisions.
3) It was clear that we could not commit to a potential $1000 expense to have Scott brought in to videotape, we would need 200 members to accomplish the task. So, we came up with the compromise of asking the Provincial Host to pay for the 3 nights hotel costs and the OAA would commit to paying for the airfare. We would only charge the extra $5.00 in membership fees if his hotels were covered, otherwise the members would only pay the original $30 fee. The Executive were up front with Scott from the beginning. We have not been able to confirm with him yet if we can afford to have him at Provincials. We all want Scott at Provincials and will do our best to get him there, but we won't commit to him unless we are certain we can cover his costs.
4) Last but certainly not least the banning of Chris Gobby. There are posting disclaimers and guidelines to follow at all times. The posts made by Chris were non armwrestling related and quite crude, that is not the purpose of the message board. That is why they were deleted and after 3 like posts he was banned from the site.
Please remember that we are always looking for sponsors, we need them to be impressed when the visit any of the Canadian Armwrestling sites and because of what they see and read decide to be a sponsor. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email me or we can always use the old method of communication and you can call me.
Hope this helps clear things up. Lise
