It's odd, I know, but there are hardly any tournament promoters in the GTA. However, living in the GTA you are within a few hours drive of well over 10 events per year -- much more than many pullers in North America.

Congrats to Eric and Joe for another well run tournament. A bigger venue is needed for this event. We would've been pulling outside if teams Collingwood, London, Golden Horseshoe and Havoc were in attendance! Congrats to the Ottawa High Hookers for taking the lead in the team standings. Congrats to Chris MacPherson on winning the supermatch with Steve Noonan. Great match of the day with Hugh Brodie and Zeppy Riehl.

Great job Joe and Eric!!! Great job as well to Rick and John. Thankless but appreciated what you guys do. Great to see new arms kicking ass as well. Look out for Bill Cameron. Not only strong but is getting more technical every time I see him. What I did notice more than anything was the FUN that everyone seemed to have yesterday. To me it is one of the most important elements to a tournament and it was in spades yesterday. I had a blast. Bring back the FUN and screw the competition, LOL. Tiny you missed your calling as a Auctioneer!!!! I love your tenacity brother.
One thing missing yesterday though was "THE FURNACE"!!!!! I missed the HA HA HA of his wins. Great seeing everyone again and look out 98's Tyler Robinson is for real!!!! STRONG.

Thank you to everyone who came out to this event. I think it was a successful kick off to the 2010-2011 OAA circuit season. All classes had good numbers and there were great matches throughout the day.
I agree that Shea and Joel were standouts from yesterday. Both pulled multiple classes, plus the 187 cash class and the overall.
I was impressed to see how easily Shea and Brian picked up the Inch dumbbell. For their efforts, they have earned one free entry to the Canadian Championships in Ottawa. Devon has earned one as well.
Although we only used one table, we felt we did a pretty good job of keeping things moving to have things wrapped up by early evening.
Next up: the Arm Melter in Belleville on December 11th and the Central Ontario Championships in Peterbroourh on January 29th!

Arm Melter is December 11th How's the level of competition in that one? Is it a good event to start off with, if I've never competed?
