Bilal Bill definitely meant no disrespect, but lately you have been getting on here, and you may see it as discussion, but man, it seems like you really have this arm wreslting thing already figured out and everyone else is wrong. I personally think like everyone else in this sport, you are in for the surprise of your life. If a certain someone shows up, who has never pulled before in his life, who wants to come here Monday night for some tips, shows the day of the event, you will not win as you thought. I will put money on it. But this same person will not even place in the open class, or possibly even cause a ripple, except his size, in the opens. When people say they have seen it before, you think they are making it up??? It truly comes down to, show it on the table, not on a board. Show it consistently. Some have a great tournament, then show up a year later. Where were they? Healing. Honestly I mean absolutely no disrespect to you. I LOVE your enthusiasm. But dont be so quick to think you have it figured out, or that others dont know what they are talking about. Practice is all nice and crap, but gladiators die in the arena. Thats where the injuries come to life. Personally I am the worlds worst pracitcer. I suck at practice. I try to rise at tournaments. I have seen others who are unbeatable in practice, but suck at tournament time. Tournament and the intensity, change the dynamic completely. See you next weekend, we can talk better after your first foreay. It's true. You are absolutely right. However I will tell you this. I will get beat once, twice, three times, 100 times and I will still get up. I never give up. I was a fighter for 11 years. I never give up. Never back down. I will keep coming and keep training and when people tell me I can't do something, I wanna do it so bad I could taste it...because people said I couldn't have it. Everyone I have ever talked to in arm wrestling tells me I won't last in this sport because weight lifters never do. Well, I'm a different kind of weight lifter....I'm Lebanese. Lebanese people do not know the meaning of compromise or surrender or backing down. You are right that I know nothing close to what you guys know. You are right that I will lose, and I'll probably lose many times. There will come a time when I start winning, and when that happens, I'll start winning even more and eventually losing will become a distant memory and winning will become a habit. I have never entered a sport without emerging a winner. You call it arrogance and ignorance. Perhaps. I call it a warrior's spirit. I promise you this. I will train harder than ever now. I WILL last in this sport and I'll make this board proud. You have my word, and it's strong as oak.

Guy, Bilal IS green and unproven in this sport. But I think his arguments are sound and valid. As far as his brash, arrogant attitude.... I FUC#%IN LOVE IT!! I hope he rips through the novice class Next weekend and continues training. Weather he is still in this sport in a year, who knows?? But for the sake of this oaa board... I fu%kin hope so, for It sorely needs his enthusiasm and non-diplomacy. Haha. Thanks dude. I'm so pumped right now....We're gonna eat lightnin' We're gonna crap thunder!!!!!

I have never said you wont last, I have never said you wont win?? Geeesh. I have said muscles alone wont get you there, that was pretty much it. I am Canadian, and after experiencing most winters here people learn quick why we are tough as nails and dont give up. I understand that philosophy. Bilal I too am new to this sport with an old mans body. I have won some and lost more. I have lost to strenght I have lost to technique. I have felt power in a thin frame and I have felt power in a big frame. We are all just trying to drop some hints and pointers to you, not stop you or change you. In my short time in this sport I have seen many people type what you type. Its not new. You are not the first and wont be the last. Its all good, I truly hope you last in this sport. We need new blood, different approaches, different thought patterns. All we are saying is yours may change as you actually get involved in this sport as opposed to thinking about getting involved. In the US there are many power lifter, MMA, weightlifter types involved. They all eventually say the same thing. Its hard to do anything else when you armwrestle. Its insane on your body. Not discouraging you at all. We all find a balance. Just trying to help. GUy
